Fluorosint® Family of Products

The Fluorosint® range of enhanced PTFE materials was developed to fill the performance gaps where unfilled as well as low-tech, filled PTFE-based polymers underperform. Each Fluorosint® material was specifically designed to excel in demanding bearing and seal applications. While each of Fluorosint® grade possesses the great chemical resistance and compliance of standard PTFE, each material offers unique properties resulting from our proprietary process in which we chemically link synthetically manufactured mica to virgin PTFE. These enhancements give individual Fluorosint® grades superior performance properties, ranging from outstanding dimensional stability, to improved wear performance, to higher load bearing capabilities.

Fluorosint® 500 PTFE
Fluorosint® 500 Polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE shapes possess a unique combination of stability and wear resistance, for sealing applications where tight dimensional control is required. With nine times greater resistance to deformation under load than unfilled PTFE, Fluorosint® 500 PTFE exhibits outstanding chemical and hydrolysis resistance, and excellent mechanical and tribological properties. Additionally, Fluorosint® 500 PTFE’s coefficient of linear thermal expansion approaches the expansion rate of aluminum and is 1/4 that of virgin PTFE, which often eliminates fit and clearance problems for designers.

Fluorosint® 207 PTFE
Fluorosint® 207 Polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE is a Food Contact Compliant grade of Fluorosint® with a unique combination of dimensional stability and creep resistance, exceptional sliding and wear properties, and outstanding chemical and hydrolysis resistance. Possessing the lowest coefficient of friction of all Fluorosint® materials, Fluorosint® 207 PTFE shapes excel in food, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing industries, especially for aggressive service bearing and bushing applications. It is also a preferred material for lower pressure seats and seals, where virgin PTFE fails and Food Contact Compliance may be required.

Fluorosint® MT-01 PTFE
Fluorosint® MT-01 is an extreme PTFE grade that was specifically developed for engineering applications where the low-friction and high-temperature benefits of PTFE-based materials also require outstanding strength, stiffness, and stability. Often specified in seat, seal, and wear applications where extreme thermal conditions are present, Fluorosint® MT-01 PTFE delivers superior mechanical performance at elevated temperatures.

Fluorosint® HPV PTFE
Fluorosint® HPV is an FDA compliant, high-performance, bearing grade PTFE material. Ideal for food processing and pharmaceutical applications, Fluorosint® HPV’s FDA compliance gives equipment manufacturers new design options for load-bearing and wear applications.

Fluorosint® 135 PTFE
